Serbian Camp Update
Dear friends,
Thanks for your faithfulness in your prayers while we went down to Serbia to pioneer another English camp. Chat Camp went very well where we had six nationalities (Americans, Slovaks, Czechs, Norwegians, Serbians & British) participate in the camp. Our student count doubled from last year with majority of them being Roma "gypsies" with Muslim backgrounds.
This being my last camp, it was a blessing to see the Serbian team really take ownership of the camp & grasp the understanding of needing to follow-up with the students. Please join me for the next few minutes as I share a few camp experiences.
Spiritual Battles
Whenever doing service for the Lord, the enemy has his own plans. And it was no exceptions for this year's camp.
Mentoring Moments
During the week, it was my goal to encourage the Serbians & American team to take ownership of the camp & allow others to serve in crucial roles.
Cross-cultural experience
To have six different cultures come together as the body of Christ was a true blessing & a taste of heaven.
Follow-Up
After camp, we spent four days in Novi Sad with the team members & students. It was a great opportunity for us to follow-up with them & see students come to the events.
Internship
This year I was fortunate to lead a team of three for the summer. And for me, it was the best way to end my camp ministry with Ryan, Lee Ann & Anka.
What's next on your plate?
Returned to Slovakia to spend time with students, participate in CampFest & prepare to say good-bye, pack & move.
