A tribute to Prešov
The following are just a few thoughts to those who encouraged me along the way. There were many more, and thank God for all whom He provided along my path during my tenure in PO.
Peter & Katka- Thank you Peter & Katka for teaching me more about bold faith then anyone else. To watch you live & trust in the Lord daily, encouraged me not to be afraid, but trust in the Lord & walk in bold faith.
Marian & Ludka- Prayer is the center of all Marian & Ludka do in their family, ministry & lives. It was a blessing to be around them & have their lives remind me of the importance of prayer.
Pastor Bakalar- One of our pastor's at our church is a very passionate man. He passion for things is contagious & encouraged me to become more passionate for things of the Lord then for things of this world.
Jany Simocko- Jany taught me how to love & care for people, especially family. Watching him care for his sister, & loving his family who are not believers, showed me how to love & care for others. He is also a natural-born leader whom people love to follow.
Jaro & Marcel- thank you for taking time to be with students! As business people, I know what it is like to want to come home & rest. But to give your time to students, after hours, reminded me of what our lives as fellow believers is all about. And I want to thank your spouses for allowing you to be with students as well.I know it is a huge sacrifice!
Gypsy lady on the corner- to the lady whom I once thought was a man, who plays the guitar in the center of town, thank you for honoring God with your talented gifts of singing & playing guitar. To hear you sing in Slovak a few contemporary Christian songs, encouraged me as I walked passed you. May it encourage others who pass by you daily.
Bread lady- thank you mam, for your sweet smile every time I walked in to buy bread. Your smile cheered me up every time I walked into your store.
La Cucaracha Pizza- to the best pizza in Slovakia! Thank you for feeding my stomach so many times. Your staff truly exemplified great customer service, something I seldom see in Eastern Europe. The four cheese pizza is the best.
